Man, did I score with the hot wok dishes at the inn’s restaurant! Each bite was a journey, showcasing the best local flavors. Plus, the charming bar area had its own vibe, especially when the fire was lit—perfect for cozying up after a day exploring. Staff like Tomas went above and beyond, making our stay memorable.
Like many places in Guatemala, there was lukewarm water at best—good enough to wash off the day but not the hot shower I hoped for.

The hotel is conveniently located near the market.
I experienced several issues during my stay that I found disappointing. The bathroom was poorly maintained, with leaking taps and a faint smell of sewage that lingered, making it uncomfortable to use. Furthermore, I found it frustrating that the WiFi was only available in public areas and not in my room, which is quite inconvenient in today’s connected world. Lastly, the breakfast was lacking, as it seemed to be rationed, and I had to repeatedly ask for basic items like butter or additional coffee.

The property boasts stunning antique furniture and warm fireplaces in each room for a cozy ambiance. The close proximity to the bustling market offers a charming local experience. However, the WiFi was unreliable, only available in common areas, and the sound from the street made for a restless night. Breakfast options could use more variety, as the selection felt overly standard and lacked local flair.

Great spot for a cozy getaway
The atmosphere of this old hotel was wonderful , I actually really loved it! They lit a fire in the room to take out the chill once the sun went down and the people were super helpful.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but it was still acceptable.
